From fabric 1, cut:
{A} (4) 1½” squares
{B} (4) 2” squares
{D} (4) 1½” x 2½” rectangles
From fabric 2, cut:
{A} (4) 1½” squares
{B} (4) 2” squares
From fabric 3, cut:
{A} (2) 1½” squares
{C} (2) 2½” squares
From fabric 3, cut:
{A} (2) 1½” squares
{C} (2) 2½” squares
12 INCH BLOCK
From fabric 1, cut:
{A} (4) 2½” squares
{B} (4) 3” squares
{D} (4) 2½” x 4½” rectangles
From fabric 2, cut:
{A} (4) 2½” squares
{B} (4) 3” squares
From fabric 3, cut:
{A} (2) 2½” squares
{C} (2) 4½” squares
From fabric 4, cut:
{A} (2) 2½” squares
{C} (2) 4½” squares
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1. MAKE HALF SQUARE TRIANGLES
Mark a diagonal pencil line on the wrong side of four 3” (2”) Fabric 1 squares. Stitch a ¼” away from each side of the marked line. Cut apart on the line and press. Trim to 2½” (1½”) square. Make 8 HST units.
STEP 2. MAKE CENTER UNITS
Use the Easy Corner Triangle method to make center units: Mark a diagonal line on each of (4) 2½” (1½”) Fabric 1 squares. Repeat on opposite corner with Fabric 3 or 4 squares. Make 4 total center units.
Join units together as shown.
STEP 3. MAKE BORDER UNITS
Using remaining Fabric 1 and 2 pieces and HSTs, assemble border units. Make 2 of each.
STEP 4. ASSEMBLE BLOCK
Join block units as shown.
