CHEF'S NOTES:
Press and starch all fabrics prior to cutting. Use a scant 1/4" seam.

INGREDIENTS
From fabric 1, cut:
{A} (4) 4½” squares
{B} (4) 2½” x 4½” rectangles
{C} (8) 2½” squares
{D} (4) 1½” squares
From fabric 2, cut:
{A} (1) 4½” squares
{B} (4) 2½” x 4½” rectangles
{C} (8) 2½” squares
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1. MAKE FLYING GEESE
Mark a diagonal line on the wrong side of each Fabric 1 and Fabric 2 2½” square. Align 1 square with the corner of (1) 2½” x 4½” rectangle. Sew on the drawn line. Trim ¼” away from the sewn line and press. Repeat on opposite side. Make 4 of each color set as shown.
Join two flying geese units. Repeat to make 4. Press well.
STEP 2. MAKE SNOWBALL CENTER
Use the Easy Corner Triangle method - draw a pencil line on the wrong side of each 1½” square. Align with corner of 4½” Fabric 1 square. Sew on the marked line. Trim ¼” away from the marked line and press. Repeat on each corner to make a snowball unit.
STEP 3. ASSEMBLE BLOCK
Join block units as shown.
